  • Overview

    D'Addario & Company, Inc. is looking for a full time Percussion Business Unit Director. This position is responsible for all aspects of the Business Unit (BU), including Operations, Product Management, and Product Development. This individual will report directly to the President of the corporation and will be part of the Executive Management team. He/she will regularly interact with members of the executive management team including the CEO, President and Director of Brand, as well as leaders of shared resources such as the Chief Sales Officer, Chief Marketing Officer & the Creative Team, Artist Relations, HR, IT and Logistics, driving both Operational excellence, market share and commercial growth. This individual will also be expected to interface with our Director of Product Management to ensure oversight of the D’Addario Percussion brand that is consistent with the entire family of D’Addario brands. 

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the overall profitability of the entire business unit. (Comprehensive P&L accountability)
    • Drives operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
    • Develops and administers annual budgets for the business unit.
    • Directs team of managers and supervisors in resource allocation, personnel decisions, business priorities and KPI’s.
    • Assists with the creation of the sales, marketing and product development vision for D’Addario Percussion and its sub-brands, translating the vision into market share gains and profitable revenue growth, globally.
    • Product development and marketing – helps to identify market trends and opportunities, and tailors product development and product enhancement activities to satisfy the market and capitalize on existing opportunities.
    • Assists with the creation of a modern marketing plan for the brand, incorporating the sales and marketing activities relevant to today’s marketplace and the approved business plans and budgets.
    • Drives high level marketing initiatives and product launches with concise creative briefs that can be executed by the Creative Team.
    • Executes thorough yearly performance reviews for all direct reports as per company protocol, thus ensuring alignment and personnel development with his/her team.
    • Partners with Sales Management to develop relevant, timely and successful sales plans, campaigns, programs and special promotions (all dealers, domestic & export distributors, OEM).
    • Interacts with key accounts and industry influencers as required.
    • Responsible for ensuring seamless product launches and the ensuing life cycle.
    • Helps to coordinate Artist Relations activities to be relevant will all related marketing plans.

    • Bachelor of Science in Business or a related discipline
    • Well-rounded General Management experience
    • Experience managing multifaceted teams across the entire business unit.
    • Ability to effectively present information to upper management, the Board of Directors and employees.
    • 25-35% Travel
