  • Overview

    The Social Media Community Manager will plan, execute, monitor and continuously adjust D’Addario Percussion’s (Evans, Promark and Puresound) social strategy, across its key social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube). They will develop paid and organic content strategies that grow our communities and drive business, while operating as the primary community manager. They will report to and partner closely with the Strategy + Planning group leads, and collaborate with the Creative and Artist Relations teams to support the objectives of the D’Addario Percussion Business Unit.

     

    Candidates should be passionate about social media, content, and communications strategy, but also be an experienced and passionate drumset player and/or percussionist, who enjoys talking shop with other players and giving advice. This position is based in Brooklyn, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Engage the musician community, specifically fretted instruments and percussion players, across owned and non-owned social accounts; advocating for D’Addario brands and inserting them into conversations, with insight, perspective and expert product guidance
    • Respond to comments and direct messages with a strong attention to detail, brand voice and a focus on both product and creative guidance
    • Develop strategies for growing the community and connecting with new audiences
    • Foster relationships with artists and influencers of all levels
    • Utilize social listening platform to respond quickly to consumer comments and engage with community conversations in real-time
    • Assist Social Media Strategist in creation and curation of content; crafting copy for posts and driving ideation of new content, across channels
    • Manage post schedule of organic content
    • Execute paid social campaign plans

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in social media management and content development across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social channels
    • Percussion instrument player and interested in learning about and talking about gear, with exceptional grasp of the percussion community and music Instrument industry
    • Deep understanding of social media analytics
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • Up-to-speed with best practices to maximize performance on social
    • Experience with live streaming
    • Strong attention to detail with well-honed organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
