We are currently seeking an Associate Creative Director, Copy to join our team. The ACD is responsible for developing fresh, breakthrough and provocative ideas across all mediums: social media, digital ads, website, packaging and print collateral. They will partner with the Creative Director (Art) on large and small-scale marketing campaigns for the entire D’Addario portfolio: D’Addario Guitar+, EVANS Drumheads, ProMark drumsticks, D’Addario Woodwinds and D’Addario Orchestral.  The ACD will play an integral role in shaping our brand voice and collaborating with our global creative team to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing and inspiring all writers working across our brands globally. This is a hybrid role and will require the candidate to work on-site in the Brooklyn office three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead writer on campaigns or projects, taking ownership of messaging from concept to final execution.
• Partner with the Creative Director (Art) to create and manage the execution of brand campaigns featuring best-in-class creative work that positions D’Addario as an iconic brand—not just within our category, but among global brands.
• Collaborate with the CMO, Global Strategy Director, Creative Leaders, Artist Relations teams to execute strategy, develop marketing tactics, and brainstorm compelling creative concepts.
• Write clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy for a variety of platforms, including web, email, social media, print, and video.
• Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Conduct research to inform copy and stay updated on industry trends and competitive messaging.
• Participate in creative reviews and respond to feedback with thoughtful revisions.
• Support the Senior Copywriter and marketing team with additional writing tasks as needed.
• Maintain and evolve the company’s brand voice across channels

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience developing fresh, inspired work across all mediums.
• Significant experience crafting both B2B and B2C campaigns at leading advertising or promotional agency.
• Demonstrated conceptual and executional skills, as well as strong strategic chops
• Must have strong design and presentation skills
• Ability to direct and manage multiple projects and creative personalities within a fast-paced environment to meet key project milestones and business objectives
• Familiarity with digital content formats, SEO basics, and marketing best practices
• Must have solid organizational and time management skills
-Ability to prioritize assignments for staff
-Ability to constructively critique, refine, and develop work from concept to execution
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding and experience with production practices for Print, Packaging, Video, and Web

 

The base salary range for this role would be commensurate with experience: $100k to $120k per year
