We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director, Copy to help shape the voice of D’Addario’s family of brands — including D’Addario Guitar+, EVANS Drumheads, ProMark, Woodwinds, and Orchestral.  In this role, you’ll lead copy development across digital, social, packaging, and print. You’ll collaborate with the Creative Director (Art) on campaigns of all sizes and guide a global team of writers to ensure clarity, consistency, and originality across every touchpoint. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who’s hands-on with language, comfortable managing teams, and ready to push creative boundaries while staying grounded in brand purpose.  This is a hybrid role (3 days/week onsite in Brooklyn),

Responsibilities

  • Lead copy development from concept through execution across campaigns and projects.
  • Partner with the Creative Director (Art) to deliver standout brand work that elevates D’Addario across global markets.
  • Collaborate with senior marketing and creative stakeholders to translate strategy into compelling creative.
  • Write clear, engaging, brand-consistent copy for web, email, social, print, and video.
  • Review and edit copy for accuracy, clarity, and tone.
  • Conduct research to inform messaging and stay current on industry trends.
  • Participate in creative reviews and refine work based on feedback.
  • Support the Senior Copywriter and broader marketing team as needed.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand voice across all channels.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience developing creative work across digital, print, and video.
  • Proven success in both B2B and B2C campaigns, ideally within top-tier agencies.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and strategic insight.
  • Solid design sensibility and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and creative teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with digital formats, SEO fundamentals, and marketing best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and guide team members effectively.
  • Skilled at giving constructive feedback and refining work from concept to final execution.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of production workflows for print, packaging, video, and web.

 

The base salary range for this role would be commensurate with experience: $100k to $120k per year
