In an effort to increase access to music education, the D’Addario Foundation – the nonprofit arm of D’Addario & Company – awards cash and in-kind grants to nonprofit music education programs worldwide, awards college scholarships, and conducts research surrounding the impact of music education. The Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, D’Addario & Company plays an exciting role on this two-person team by supporting the D’Addario Foundation’s day-to-day operations and fundraising, leading the D’Addario Foundation College Scholarship program, and managing the organization’s CRM system (Salesforce) and grantmaking software (WizeHive by Zengine).

This role requires regular communication with existing and prospective Foundation donors, grantees, scholarship recipients, and Board members; D’Addario & Company colleagues across all departments; and Foundation and Company vendors and consultants. The Manager works closely with the Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility to reach organizational goals; fundraise for the Foundation; help align Company and Foundation digital campaigns across social media; maintain project management; and expand initiatives related to scholarships, research, advocacy, development, and communications. The Manager leads communication related to the College Scholarship program, manages Foundation interns (including hiring and onboarding), and maintains social media and website content. They regularly communicate with colleagues in the legal and finance departments to facilitate agreements, invoices, and checks to third parties including but not limited to grantees, scholarship recipients, and vendors.

 

This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with the primary location in Brooklyn, NY (2 days/week), Farmingdale, NY (1 day/week), and remote work (2 days/week). The anticipated start date is January 5, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support a culture of corporate social responsibility at D’Addario & Company.
• Support the Company’s alignment with the Foundation’s charitable activities, and vice versa.
• Direct the D’Addario Foundation College Scholarship Program including rubric development, application review, interviews and selection, scholarship recipient engagement, payment coordination, and overall communication.
• Manage the grantmaking database system and grant application process (in WizeHive powered by Zengine); communicate with grantee organizations regarding cash donations and in-kind order placement; facilitate grant application review and reporting; and obtain grantee intake forms including financial information and formal agreements.
• Screen prospective grantee applicants who submit Eligibility Quizzes and guide these organizations through next steps.
• Manage the CRM (Salesforce) to ensure data integrity regarding incoming grants and donations and expand the use of Salesforce to also include outgoing grantmaking and scholarship records.
• Conduct prospect research on potential funders (institutional and individual) and contribute to grantwriting and reporting.
• Support communication with the Marketing and Digital teams to promote collaborative efforts between the Company and the Foundation with regard to campaigns that support public visibility of D’Addario & Company’s corporate social responsibility, which includes but is not limited to the D’Addario Foundation.
• Oversight of all social media platforms including content development and scheduling.
• Management of the Foundation’s website.
• Collaborate with the Creative team to write creative briefs and submit tickets that lead to the development of creative assets for the Foundation including, for instance, art for social media posts, press releases, and creative assets for grantees and scholarship recipients.
• Donor and Development Management – assist with donor acknowledgement letters, e-newsletters, and board and advisor meeting coordination.
• Coordinate all activities associated with instrument donations, instrument repairs, and D’Addario in-kind donations (including inventory, shipping, and third-party donations) for the Immersive Music Challenge and any other D’Addario Foundation-led programs of this kind.
• Coordinate agreements with vendors and between the Foundation and grantees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Two to five years of experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising and development, and/or arts administration
• Significant experience with nonprofit CRMs and conditional logic (preferably Salesforce and WizeHive or similar)
• Experience designing, implementing, and automating back-end workflows in platforms such as Salesforce, WizeHive, and similar
• Significant nonprofit fundraising and development experience
• Experience in prospect research, grantwriting, and grant reporting
• Experience with or eagerness to learn and apply reading and editing simple HTML code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and time-management skills and comfortable simultaneously managing multiple projects
• Experience developing electronic content for social media and web, including website authoring and maintenance, and building electronic newsletter mailings
• Strong interest in music education
• Personal history as an instrumental music student or musician is a plus

 

The base salary with this role will commensurate with experience: $70k to $85k annually
