We are seeking a Quality Engineer to drive excellence across our manufacturing and product development processes. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining a corporate quality assurance system that promotes customer satisfaction and positively impacts company performance. You’ll lead quality initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure our products meet the highest standards. This position requires close coordination with suppliers, customers, Operations, Product Management, Global Supply Chain, and Value Stream Management. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. Must be able to work on-site daily at our Farmingdale, Long Island headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures for testing, inspection, data collection, and traceability.
  • Lead in-process quality assurance, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and achievement of quality metrics and cost goals.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, including Kaizen teams and operational initiatives.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using precision measurement tools to verify raw materials, assemblies, and sub-assemblies meet specifications.
  • Validate incoming raw materials and finished goods to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Develop and implement quality plans, including PFMEA, control plans, PPAP, and PQC documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to launch new products with robust quality standards.
  • Analyze and resolve quality issues, including delays, defects, and process inefficiencies; revise policies and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards such as REACH, RoHS, and Prop65.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers and customer service, including daily updates and meetings.
  • Manage the Return Authorization process, track RMA trends, and support investigations and customer feedback.
  • Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), driving containment, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Leads and Inspectors, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Report on Quality Management System (QMS) performance, including audit results and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish — required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or a related technical field — preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies — preferred
  • Experience in the manufacturing or music industry — a plus
  • Strong ability to collaborate across departments and manage external relationships
  • Proven skills in planning and managing people, budgets, processes, and systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project Management tools, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Control Plans
  • Confident presenter with the ability to communicate clearly to senior leadership
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as MAPICS, BPCS, SAP
  • Solid understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods

The base salary range for this role would be commensurate with experience: $75k-$85k per year
