We are currently looking to fill a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) role. The TSM is responsible for owning and growing their multi-million-dollar book of business on the West Coast. This person is expected to attain a thorough understanding of all customer needs and develop solutions that meet their objectives with our portfolio of products and services while achieving sales targets. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and a curious nature. This is a hybrid role and will require the candidate to work on-site in the Farmingdale office three days a week. However, we are open to considering candidates based on the west coast.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving the overall sales objectives and targets established for all D’Addario brands with assigned accounts
  • Developing and implementing overall sales and marketing strategy for the assigned territory including co-op advertising, merchandising, regional events, identifying key market influencers, sales training and more
  • Tracking and analyzing sales progress against objectives, key competitor activity, and sales opportunities within assigned territory and communicating significant issues to management
  • New product presentations and/or product training with store staff, road reps, call centers, etc, and including Product Management team when needed
  • Regularly train the staff of key customers, including in-store and telemarketing personnel
  • Regular travel to key accounts in the region
  • Keep all key accounts fully informed of programs, policies, price changes and news regarding D’Addario and its brands
  • Assist in the development of the annual sales targets for region
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding and awareness of the retail marketplace and all significant competitive activity in the region. 
  • Work closely with the Product Managers, Product Specialists and other team members to build brand and sales success

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A strong background selling to retail accounts
  • At least three years of experience managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio with a high volume of clients
  • The ability to quantitatively analyze and interpret sales data, a willingness and desire to routinely visit all key accounts and a desire to assume full responsibility for regional performance are required.
  • Experience using CRM systems preferred
  • A strong interest in music is required
  • Willingness to travel as needed to key accounts

 

The base salary range for this role would be commensurate with experience: $70k to $79k per year
