We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing, forward-thinking, and collaborative team. In this role, you'll apply a broad range of engineering principles to research and develop production machinery, automate manufacturing processes, and continuously improve how we make our products. If you love solving real-world problems with your hands and seeing your designs come to life on the production floor, you'll feel right at home here.This is an on-site role. You'll work in our Farmingdale, New York office 5 days per week.

Compensation: 

We offer a competitive total compensation package. The base salary range for this role is $90,000-$135,000 and is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Design production machinery from inception to completion, including design and detailing of all parts, overseeing assembly, design and programming of all control circuits, testing, operator training and implementation into production.
  • Analyze manufacturing problems and implement solutions.
  • Research, purchase and implement outsourced manufacturing machinery.
  • Implement manufacturing tooling and processes for new products.
  • Assist in research, development and testing of new products.
  • Troubleshooting problems in the factory and determining solutions.
  • Interface with QC department in investigating and correcting quality issues.

Qualifications

  • BS or BE in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing production machinery solutions in a factory environment.
  • Proficiency in Pro/Engineer (Creo) or similar 3D design software; SolidWorks knowledge a plus.
  • Electro-mechanical automation background, with knowledge of general automation techniques, components, and principles.
  • Knowledge of injection molding operations and mold design a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with standard machining and assembly practices a plus.
